I would however strongly suggest against using this system with percision weapons, as the spread of the projectiles is imperative to the illusion of two weapons firing since they originate from the same point. all it would need is fitting animations and a new fp model of two weapons. This approach can be applied to any just about any type of weapon. references to new fp model and fp animations spread applied to projectiles for the illusion of dual wielding
2 projectiles fired at once for each trigger
The weapon tag is derivative of the plasma pistol tag. this not only allows for the illusion of both weapons to fire at once, but also ensures simultaneous actions, such as reloading and overheating, creating less animation glitches than the alternatives. each shot fires two projectiles bound to the same trigger. rather than attempting to emulate halo 2 retail's dual wielding system using two seperate triggers (max number of triggers is 2), causing bugs with reloading and overheating animations as well as problems with picking up extra ammunition, or using the system with scripts which cause sync issues and general awkwardness, this approach only uses one trigger. The concept behind this is pretty simple.
This is a proof of concept for a reliable, glitchless dual wielding approach involving no hacky work-arounds or scripts, based on the dual wield functionality of the e3 2003 halo 2 gameplay trailer.
